There’s nothing static about today’s “always connected” lifestyle, so concepts as diverse as Starbucks, Dick’s Last Resort and Smashburger are enhancing their customer experience with such digital communications technologies as virtual menu boards, kiosks and social media data displays.
For their efforts to capture the attention and participation of consumers at their brick-and-mortar or virtual storefronts, those three brands are among a handful of food-and-beverage category companies recognized as finalists for awards associated with Digital Signage Expo 2012 in Las Vegas.
DSE presents multi-industry Apex Awards for the development and deployment of innovative digital signage, interactive technology and digital out-of-home networks; and Content Awards for the information that flows through such installations.
Foodservice industry finalists in the Apex Awards competition are Starbucks; Holyfields Restaurant GmbH & Co.
